Think about those two words for a moment. What would a statement like that possibly mean? Why would you use them in the same sentence? Why contemplate it at all? Well, I’ve got a reason. What reason? Rapists…. Yes, rapists. I have a strong dislike about how rape is handled throughout the known world. Its handled poorly by law enforcement and society. Its not funny, it isn’t something to be shoved under the rug, and it sure as HELL is NOT the victim’s fault. Anyone who thinks so should re-evaluate their stance on living, but I’m getting off topic. I don’t feel prison time is enough for an offense as grave as violating anyone in such a manner, so I’ve come up with an additional punishment for offenders of the sexual assault nature. There in lies where those words come back, branding and castration. I believe all rapists should be publicly castrated and branded with the words ‘sex offender’ or ‘rapist’ somewhere on their person, preferably somewhere hard to hide. Think about it, it would be difficult for the particular offender to repeat the act, and everyone in the nation would know what that person has done. It might dissuade others from committing the act in the first place. (Please note, I said might, there is always the possibility I’m wrong.) Branding and castration, I just think its a good idea. An eye for an eye used to be the preferred way for dealing with various crimes, why not elaborate on the concept a bit? Brand and castrate the rapists, violate them the way they’ve violated others.
No matter what anyone in the world says, I still vote for branding and castration. I think I’m done ranting now, but I’ve meant to ramble on about this subject for a while, and because of the sudden influx of ‘rapists are assholes’ posts on my dash, what better time to ramble then now?
I’m done now, you may carry on with your lives now that I’ve had my two cents on the subject.
I did the pit two days ago, the porch 3 times in the last month, one half of the living room today. I’m slowly making it through the house, I’ll do the other half of the living room tomorrow after the daily kitchen menagerie and weekly date-with-a-hazmat-suit for cleaning the bathroom. Probably doing the library/office this weekend, as Mor uses it from 7-3:30 each day.
Or maybe we’re at a point in society where we have to understand people can say what they want, and if you get offended by it you have to take that with you and move on. I protect music and the right to say what you want when it feels right. It’s funny though, cause Tyler’s a bad guy and all, but Chris Brown is just so damn sexy and amazing even though he gave a female facial contusions two years ago! But wait, because he’s good looking the vast majority of females have accepted him back into our society.
Actually to be honest with you most people who reblog this feel the same way I do about Chris Brown.. that hes a piece of shit as well. I dont see how saying you’d rape a girl is ever acceptable or should be protected.
I have officially come to the conclusion that famous people can get away with saying anything they want, which is unacceptable. If any normal Joe Blow said he’d rape a girl, they’d lock him up. Famous asshole? Its completely acceptable. Apparently when fame walks in one door, couth and tact walk out the other. Rather unfortunate, as I’d quite like to publicly geld any man who thinks even contemplating rape.
The picture isn't about white people killing native americans, it's about stupid drunk hipster white girls completely shitting on a venerable culture because they're drunk and think the hat is cute.
I am aware of that fact. The killing comment was in response to another comment on the same picture, not the picture itself, so I’m sorry if you missed that part.
And yes, drunk people are stupid and offensive. Makes one wonder why we can’t simply lock them in sterile white rooms and force them to watch American History documentaries in hope they realize what bigots they are. Unfortunately that is not possible, so humanity must deal with their stupidity and try to figure out what happened to things like couth and tact.
Our internet providers fucking suck. We have high speed internet, like everywhere else in the country, its just a bit more expensive. Almost every weekend & Wednesday though, it doesn’t work. It’ll flip in and out of service all weekend long. They also take a forever to fix it.
This country makes me sick. Are you “proud to be an American”? And don’t think that this is just a problem of the South. Just look at the police in New York and Chicago, or the case of DSK, all of whom got away with rape thanks to a judicial system that treats women like shit.
Nicole Colson reports on a lawsuit alleging that a Missouri school district not only ignored a young girl’s claims of rape, but punished her for coming forward.
IN ONE of the more stomach-turning cases in recent memory, a Missouri school is the subject of a federal lawsuit over allegations that it not only disregarded a middle school student’s claim of rape, but made her write an apology to her attacker—who later went on to rape her again on school grounds.
… Adding insult to injury, the school district’s response to the lawsuit has been to literally blame the victim for her rape, saying that the girl failed to use “reasonable means” to protect herself. Any damages the girl may have sustained, according to the school district’s response, “were as a result of the negligence, carelessness or conduct of third parties over whom the District Defendants had neither control nor the right to control.”
The school district is countersuing the girl’s family for attorney’s fees and court costs.
THANKFULLY, NOT everyone is so willing to sweep sexual assault under the rug or blame the victim. On August 22, parents and community members packed a Republic School Board meeting to voice their outrage.
Some 50 protesters crammed the meeting hold signs that read “Ban rape, not books”—a reference to both the lawsuit and a recent school board decision to ban Slaughterhouse Five and another book from the district.
